Knotting Hills — A Private Estate for Your Company's Year-End Celebration
Knotting Hills  /  Corporate Events

Your company's year-end celebration deserves its own private estate.

Knotting Hills is a 75-acre resort 27 miles south of St. Louis — two distinct event venues, on-site accommodations for 54 overnight guests, and flexible catering and bar packages for gatherings of up to 500. Not a restaurant back room. Not another hotel ballroom.

Why Knotting Hills

A private setting that makes the whole evening feel intentional.

Most company holiday parties happen in a sectioned-off corner of a restaurant or a hotel ballroom down the hall from three other events. Knotting Hills gives your team the property itself — a secluded estate in a Missouri valley, surrounded by forest, with European-inspired gardens, lakes, and fountains between the venues.

Two distinct spaces mean the party fits your team, not the other way around. The Main Venue handles large-scale receptions; The Lake offers waterfront views for a different atmosphere entirely. Bring the caterer you love, choose the bar package that fits, and let guests who'd rather not drive stay the night — the property sleeps 54.

And you're never coordinating alone. An on-site venue director is assigned as your point of contact from the first tour through the last dance.

Holiday dates at private venues go first. Fifteen minutes on the phone tells you whether your date is open.

Fair Questions

What event planners ask before they tour

Straight answers to the questions we hear most from HR leads, office managers, and owners planning company events.

“Isn't this just a wedding venue?”
Weddings are where we started in 2021, but the property was built for gatherings of every kind — corporate holiday parties, retreats, conferences, and multi-day offsites. Companies like Home Service Oil bring their teams here annually. Two separate venues and 54 overnight rooms mean a corporate group gets the privacy and logistics a restaurant simply can't offer.
“We usually just book a restaurant downtown. Why change?”
Restaurants are easy — and forgettable. Here, your team isn't sharing the room with strangers, the bar package flexes to your budget, and nobody's watching the clock for the next seating. For a team that's worked all year, a private estate 30 minutes from the office feels like a real thank-you, not another line item.
“We're new to planning an offsite event. How much work is this?”
Less than you'd expect. Every event gets an on-site venue director as a single point of contact, and we start with a private tour and a clear pricing overview — free, no commitment. You'll leave the tour knowing exactly what your date, guest count, and catering choices cost.
“Can you handle a company our size — 200, 300, 400 people?”
Yes. Our event spaces accommodate up to 500 guests, with room for 54 to stay overnight. We regularly host large single-day events, and the two-venue layout means breakouts, cocktail hour, and dinner can each have their own space.
“What about catering and dietary requirements?”
You choose your caterer — we're flexible by design, so your team's preferences and dietary needs drive the menu instead of a fixed banquet list. On-site bar packages are customizable the same way.
“We're budget-conscious. Is this within reach?”
Knotting Hills hosts companies investing $17,500 and up in single-day events. If that's your range, the pricing overview we walk through on your tour is itemized and transparent — no surprise fees after the contract.

Knotting Hills was an absolute dream!! Not only are the facilities gorgeous, but the service was fantastic... The staff was also extremely helpful in helping my family set up and break down the reception area so that we could enjoy our night and not worry about a thing.

You'll be hard pressed to find a venue that is anywhere close to comparable with Knotting Hills within 40 minutes of downtown St. Louis!! It is absolutely gorgeous... having the houses available for rent was so nice — many of us stayed on the property after the reception.

Our venue coordinator, Julie, was so sweet, easy to get in touch with, and always responded to our questions... So many of our guests said that our food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding... Overall, I would choose this venue 100x over again! It was worth every penny.
